Gawia Sowa'

English: (noun) a Bidayuh new year celebration - The official date falls on June 1st of every year. However, the festivities begin at the end of May and can last until the beginning of July. Some of the activities include traditional and cultural events combined with more contemporary experiences like sports and entertainment. Both locals and tourists are invited to join in the celebration to sample the fun, exotic food and lots of drinks.
